This year, it is planned to open about 1,500 new places in kindergartens in the East Kazakhstan region. The regional akimat discussed the implementation of the regional roadmap for the national report "Quality Education Accessible to Every Child."The main topics are the opening of new places in kindergartens and schools, the development of inclusive and additional education, as well as the modernization of school infrastructure.According to Inessa Chernysheva, the head of the East Kazakhstan Region Education Department, last year 1,970 new places were opened in the region, and in 2025 it is planned to add another 1,499 places, 127 of which are already ready. A digital child development map has also been introduced into the educational process. 10 qualification centers have been opened to train teachers. In March, we will launch a pilot project on voucher financing in Ust-Kamenogorsk, - said Inessa Aleksandrovna. There are 343 schools in the region, most of which are small-sized. There are no emergency or three-shift schools, but the shortage of places exceeds 6 thousand. In 2024, a new school for 600 places was opened in Ust-Kamenogorsk, and this year two more schools for 500 places are planned to be built. In addition, the construction of five comfortable schools for 2,100 places has been completed, and the construction of two schools for 900 places is ongoing. The school infrastructure is also being upgraded. Canteens, libraries and classrooms have been renovated in 50 schools. All schools are connected to the Internet, and 109 schools will be included in the "Social Wallet" system. This year, 21 schools in the region will undergo major repairs. He also said that the issue of discipline in schools should not be ignored.- The effectiveness of the work of directors is assessed not only by the results of the UNT, but also by how organized and disciplined the children are. If we do not pay attention to coordinating work in this area, it is difficult to talk about raising a worthy generation, - said the regional akim.Another topical issue is the development of inclusive education. More than 12 thousand children with special educational needs live in the region. They are served by 4 psychological-medical-pedagogical counseling centers and 5 special kindergartens.
