Last year, 7,695 young people under the age of 35 were employed with the support of employment agencies in Zhetysu region. Among them are young people who completed short-term vocational training, got a job, received grants and started their own businesses, - the press service of the akim of Zhetysu region reports.According to the regional Department of Coordination of Employment and Social Programs, last year, 1,322 people from among young people were employed in public works, 1,150 graduates in youth internships, 125 people in social jobs, 575 people under the "First Job", and 31 people under the "Generations Contract". After the maternity leave, Aigerim put aside her journalism diploma and wanted to try herself in another field. So, she received a referral for short-term vocational training through the Career Center of Taldykorgan and mastered the intricacies of eyelash growth at the Tashenova Educational Center. After the three-month course, she was hired by the mentioned small business entity. - I am a mother of many children. Since my children were young, I stayed at home for a while to take care of them. Then I turned to the world of beauty and applied to the employment agency to learn a new profession. Thanks to this, in August of last year, I passed a training course and received my certificate. Highly qualified specialists taught me in detail the business of eyelash growth. In a short time in the beauty salon, I was able to show that I am a good specialist, and now I have my own regular customers. A person can learn a new profession at any time, it is never too late. I was convinced of this. It is gratifying that there are state programs that open up such opportunities, - says Aigerim Torebayeva, a mother of many children.According to the regional department of social development, last year more than 3 thousand young people were involved in meetings and explanatory work held in the region to inform about state programs and projects for youth. For example, Aiym Sailaubekova, who received higher education in psychology and speech therapy, heard about grants for young people while looking for a job in her specialty.- One day, I saw information on social networks about grants being awarded to young people on a competitive basis. I thought I would submit a project that would benefit the people for this competition and try my hand. So, I submitted a project to open a correctional center for children with special needs and won a grant of 3 million tenge. I immediately opened such a center in the city of Taldykorgan. I bought all the equipment needed for the center with the grant money. Currently, the center provides adapted physical education, sensory integration, logomassage services, and classes are conducted by speech therapists, defectologists, psychologists, and neuropsychologists. Currently, 12 people work in the center, - says the head of the "Sana" center, Ayim Sailaubekova. In total, last year, 10 grants were awarded under the "Independence Generations" grant for 3 million tenge each to support youth initiatives. Grants were presented in the areas of "Science", "Culture", "Information Technologies", "Business", and "Media" and helped young people start their own businesses. At the same time, special attention is paid to finding their place in life in the region, especially for young people in the NEET category. According to the data of the regional department of social development, last year, 635 people worked in the "Zhasyl el" labor camps aimed at providing seasonal employment to young people. The number of serious crimes in Kazakhstan has significantly decreased 14.02.2025
A meeting of the Public Council was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The results of work on ensuring law and order and security were reviewed. The head of the department, Yerzhan Sadenov, reported to the members of the Public Council on the crime situation in the country. The Minister of Internal Affairs noted that the situation has improved significantly as a result of the comprehensive measures taken in recent years.- The crime rate decreased to 102 thousand, or 11%. Compared to 2023, 12,700 fewer crimes were registered in 2024. If we look at the 90s, then the number of crimes exceeded 200 thousand. But we will not stop there. We aim to reach zero, - the minister said.During the years of independence, the crime rate has decreased significantly. Statistical data confirm this trend and show significant changes in the criminogenic situation. The decrease also applies to serious crimes, including robberies, thefts, rapes and murders. For example, in 1997, 2,594 murders were registered, while last year there were 565.Crimes committed using firearms pose a particular threat to public safety. If 30 years ago the number of such crimes registered per year reached 1.5 thousand, last year this figure decreased to 118.Positive dynamics are also observed in group crimes. In 1992, 18,928 such crimes were registered in Kazakhstan, while in 1994 their number reached 24,712. This period was one of the most difficult times for law enforcement agencies. Criminal groups are active, and the fight against them requires a lot of effort. However, in recent years, their number has decreased significantly. In 2024, the number of crimes committed by groups amounted to 5,588, which is a 4.5-fold decrease. The minister also noted that the types of crimes have changed and adapted to modern technologies.- Fraud is widespread. This accounts for 42% of all crimes. People, seeking to make a profit, invest money in dubious investments and pyramid schemes. The main reasons are the low financial literacy of the population and the lateness of citizens to contact the police. This is a phenomenon typical of many countries, - said the Minister of Internal Affairs.Yerzhan Sadenov noted that the ministry is actively combating this threat, working to improve preventive measures and raise public awareness of cybercrime. The meeting also reviewed the work of the Public Council. The council in its current composition has been operating for three years. During this time, many important steps have been taken to improve the activities of the internal affairs bodies. It should be noted that the interaction of law enforcement agencies and civil society in general plays a crucial role in ensuring security and strengthening law and order in the country.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/qriim/press/news/details/934546
