As part of environmental improvement work, a project to create gas infrastructure for Almaty CHP-2 and CHP-3 was implemented. A fifth recirculation compressor was introduced to increase the efficiency of the Karachaganak field. In the transport and logistics direction, a cargo terminal was built in Xi'an, which allowed to reduce the delivery time of goods and increase the attractiveness of Kazakhstani routes. In addition, more than 250 kilometers of gas pipelines and 500 kilometers of railway lines were laid, and train traffic was launched on 132 kilometers of the second "Dostyk - Moyinty" road. Also, during the reporting period, unique projects for Kazakhstan were launched: a hydraulic pump station and the first digital substation in Astana. The general list currently includes 46 investment projects worth 33.3 trillion tenge in the oil and gas, petrochemical, energy, transport and logistics and other industries. This year, thanks to the commissioning of the "Taldykorgan - Usharal" main gas pipeline, it is planned to complete the work on providing gas to 66 settlements in the Zhetysu region. It is planned to solve the problem of water shortage in the city of Zhanaozen and Mangistau region by launching a seawater desalination plant with a capacity of 50 thousand m3 per day in Kendirli. Increasing the capacity of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TCTR) and the section of the Dostyk-Moyinty railway line will give a significant impetus to the development of transit. To meet the needs of the domestic market, diesel fuel hydrotreating will be installed at the PMC and bitumen production will be expanded at CASPI BITUM. Particular attention was paid to the construction of the second section of the Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent main gas pipeline, which will increase the capacity to 15 billion m3 per year, and joint investment instruments were discussed. The estimated share of local content in projects varies depending on the sector. For example, for projects in the transport and logistics sector, this figure is 85%, for energy projects - 60%, for other projects - 80%.Additional measures are also envisaged to support domestic producers in 2024. Thanks to this, contracts with the State Oil Company for 1.1 trillion tenge were concluded, and the growth was 76% compared to 2023. Offtake contracts for 191 billion tenge were signed, which is 10 times more than in 2023. In addition, the Fund's procurement system was recognized for the first time as meeting the best standards of the EBRD, ADB and OECD.The Prime Minister emphasized the need to strengthen work on attracting private investment to implement important projects for our country."The Head of State noted that the priority area of our work should be the development of large infrastructure and industrial projects, transport and logistics, as well as digitalization and artificial intelligence. The government monitors the implementation of important projects for our country. It is necessary to actively attract joint investors, gradually reducing the state's share in the economy," Olzhas Bektenov noted. The Prime Minister also drew attention to the need to optimize processes and strictly monitor compliance with project implementation deadlines in order to prevent delays and unjustified price increases.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mangystau/press/news/details/935147
