Barrier-free environment has been created in 90% of schools in Kazakhstan
Work continues to create an inclusive environment for children with special educational needs.
By the end of 2024, 90% of the country's schools have created conditions for inclusive education, and the coverage of children with special psychological and pedagogical support is up to 80%. New requirements have also been developed for support rooms and individual programs for working with children with special needs.
"Creating an inclusive and barrier-free environment in education is a key factor in ensuring equal opportunities for all students. The network of special organizations has been expanded to 496, 96 support rooms for children with special educational needs have been opened," said Laura Butabayeva, Director of the Department of Inclusive and Special Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
There are currently 221 KPPK, 105 PMPC and 1071 support rooms for children with special educational needs in the country.
