Today, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akmaral Alnazarova, deputies of the Majilis of Parliament Markhabat Zhaimbetov, Murat Ergeshbayev, and the first deputy akim of the region Daniyar Zhanalinov got acquainted with the work of the "Kamkorlyk" early intervention center and the infectious diseases hospital.
About 20 thousand babies are born in the region every year, and the number of children under 18 years old reaches 322 thousand. In order to increase the availability of rehabilitation services for children, the "Kamkorlyk" center was opened in 2022. 205.6 million tenge was allocated for it from the local budget, and 103.4 million tenge was allocated from Samruk-Kazyna JSC and the "Kamkorlyk" fund to purchase equipment and improve the skills of specialists.
Over the four years since the center opened, about 6,000 children have received rehabilitation services. They have developed motor and speech skills and successfully completed important stages of social adaptation. Children are provided with medical and pedagogical assistance here. In particular, medical rehabilitation, therapeutic physical education, physiotherapy, speech therapy and defectology support, as well as occupational therapy.
The regional infectious diseases hospital underwent a comprehensive overhaul in 2024 and was fully commissioned at the end of last year. 1.6 billion tenge was allocated from the local budget for the overhaul. Today, the renovated departments are highly appreciated by patients and medical workers. Over the past three years, 590,840,153 tenge have been allocated to strengthen the material and technical base of the hospital, 2 vehicles have been purchased for 49 million tenge.
Last year, the clinical pharmacology and hospital pharmacy departments were opened and equipped with modern equipment. In the future, it is planned to launch a physiotherapy treatment department and improve the qualifications of medical workers abroad.
