On December 18, 2024, employees of the justice authorities, based on an appeal from a representative of the owner of the Belizna trademark, identified an underground workshop for the production of detergents and household chemicals. The workshop was located in a private house in the village of Abai, Kelessky district, Turkestan region, 50 km from the border with the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During an unscheduled inspection of the individual entrepreneur "K", the fact of illegal use of the trademark "Belina" was established. More than 1,500 counterfeit products (detergents and disinfectants), manufactured in gross violation of intellectual property rights, were seized. The damage caused to the copyright holder amounted to more than 3 million tenge.
It should be noted that the underground business carried out mass illegal production and packaging of products in a room with an area of more than 800 square meters.m., and also supplied it to the wholesale markets of the southern regions of Kazakhstan. Illegal products quickly found demand due to the low price, but their hidden danger endangers the health of thousands of citizens.
Fake detergents are usually made from cheap and low-quality components that do not meet safety standards. Such products may contain toxic substances and allergens that cause skin irritations, allergic reactions, respiratory tract diseases, and even poisoning.
The issue of bringing the perpetrator to justice is currently being considered. The case materials are being processed by the Department of Justice of the Turkestan region.
The justice authorities will continue to work to identify violations and protect intellectual property rights in the interests of citizens and legitimate businesses. Supporting legitimate businesses not only protects the rights of manufacturers, but also guarantees consumers safe and high-quality goods.
