A press tour of the facilities implemented this year at the request of residents took place in Bostandyk district. The event was attended by Akim of Bostandyk district Sanjar Alin, who informed the journalists about the results of landscaping.
As part of the press tour, five key sites were visited, where significant work was carried out to improve the urban infrastructure.
The first object was a pedestrian zone in the Orbita-4 microdistrict (between houses 6 and 7). Works such as the laying of paving stones, asphalt and rubber pavement, the construction of gabions and the installation of outdoor lighting lines, the installation of pergolas, gym and workout areas, as well as a playground and lawn with automatic watering and garden fences were carried out there.
The residents are grateful for the improvement of the new site. To which the akim of Bostandyk district, Sanjar Alin, said: "Thank you very much to the residents for the initiative. This is not our last project, we are working further, we are looking for territories for landscaping."
The second project was an object located in the neighborhood of Orbita-3, house 52. Landscaping of the pedestrian zone has been completed, including the laying of paving stones, geotextiles and asphalt pavement, the installation of outdoor lighting lines and pergolas, the installation of a playground and benches.
The final playground facility was located at 34a Zhandosova St.
A soccer field was renovated in the courtyard, a streetball court was built, two pergolas, a gym, a workout room and a playground were installed. The asphalt surface was replaced, six benches and six urns were installed.
What the residents are especially grateful for is the installation of a chess table and 250 linear meters of lawn fencing.
After the playgrounds, together with the journalists, we went to the next point. Construction of technical sidewalks at the intersection of Al-Farabi Ave. and Zharokov Ave.
A technical sidewalk is a sidewalk that is usually located on main streets and helps to effectively combat the spread of soil, as well as efficiently remove snow. In addition, such sidewalks help to solve the problem of drainage, preventing their flooding in case of heavy rains, which is especially important for Almaty with its changeable climatic conditions.
The final location of the productive press tour was the facility where large-scale landscaping works were carried out on the dividing green zone along Abai Ave. (between Turgut Ozala and Mukanova Streets).
The area of the facility is 5.2 hectares, we note the fact that the last landscaping was carried out more than 15 years ago.
In the dividing green zone, work was carried out on the modernization of the outdoor lighting line in 120 poles, the replacement of benches and urns in total - 110 pieces, the dismantling of asphalt pavement (7020 m) and the installation of paving stones (8000 m2), the construction of a 10 km irrigation system, sanitary pruning of green spaces and landscaping (1000 p. m. biryuchiny, 2,500 flowering shrubs, 41,000 m2 of lawn).
Akim of Bostandyk district Sanjar Alin noted: "These projects became possible thanks to the active participation of residents who expressed their wishes and ideas. We continue to work on improving the quality of life in our area."
Projects to improve urban infrastructure are actively developing in Almaty, and the "People's Participation Budget" program plays an important role in this process, through which every resident can directly participate in the transformation of their neighborhood, which makes the city more comfortable and pleasant to live in.
