Astana hosted a family competition "Azhe, kelin, nemere. Ata, bala, nemere," the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
The event was attended by the best dynasties of the five districts of the capital within the framework of the generational succession project. Its purpose is to popularize national traditions, promote family values, and demonstrate unity between brothers and sisters.
The competition is organized by the Council of Veterans with the support of the Akimat of Astana. This program, which has been in existence for three years, involves the development of the family institute.
All the families who took part in the competition told about their achievements and revealed the themes of a revered grandfather, a respected grandmother, an exemplary father, a good daughter-in-law, daughter and son.
The Khamzin family, a dynasty of pilots from the Yesilsky district, proudly said that 28 family members work in the aviation industry. Maral Khamzin's mother was the first female flight attendant of Kazakh origin, and today she is a revered grandmother of grandchildren.
Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Astana Sansyzbai Yesilov noted that such a competition fosters in children a love of hard work, respect for elders, caring for the younger, learning the rules of common morality, preserving the traditions and values of our people.
At the end of the competition, all the performing families were awarded special prizes.
