Akim of the region Marat Akhmetzhanov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhtiyor Ibragimov discussed the potentials for the growth of trade and economic cooperation between the regions.
In his welcoming speech, the head of the region focused on the achievements of the region and spoke about the main directions.
"Akmola region is one of the main agricultural regions of Kazakhstan, and we consider the Republic of Uzbekistan as one of Kazakhstan's key partners in Central Asia. I am convinced that today's event will enhance our cooperation. Akmola region has great potential for attracting investments in economic development and is ready to consider any proposals for expanding cooperation," said Marat Akhmetzhanov.
In turn, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov noted the high potential of cooperation in the region, especially in agriculture, industry and tourism. He also stressed that the close ties between the peoples of the two countries are an important factor for the sustainable development of the region.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of strengthening cooperation between the regions of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the fields of economy, trade, tourism and culture. Special attention was paid to the prospects for expanding mutual investments and developing the agro-industrial complex.
