Currently, 63 out of 192 settlements subject to gasification have been gasified in the Zhetisu region, including 30 settlements that have received access to gas since the beginning of the year. Due to this, the gasification level reached 56.5%, 394.9 thousand residents gained access to natural gas. This became known during a briefing by Akim of the region Beibit Isabayev, which took place today at the site of the CCS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the press service of Akim of the region Zhetisu reports.
According to the head of the region, construction of 21 facilities will continue next year and construction of 42 more will begin. Thus, by the end of 2025, all 126 settlements from the Kerbulak district to Taldykorgan will be gasified. As a result, over 500,000 residents, or 71.4% of the total population, will have access to gas.
As noted, the construction of the Taldykorgan-Usharal main gas pipeline began on August 19. The project is expected to be completed next year. In parallel, the development of a project of gas distribution networks for 66 settlements of Aksu, Sarkan, and Alakol districts has begun.
"By 2029, it is planned to gasify all 192 settlements of the region and provide access to gas for more than 642,000 residents, or 91.9% of the total population," Beibit Isabayev, akim of the Zhetisu region, summed up.
