In the field of Tourism, active work on the development of tourist infrastructure has influenced the growth in the number of tourists. Over 2.0 million tourists have visited the region this year. - As you know, the Zhetisu region is rich in tourist attractions. Of these, Lake Alakol is the pearl of the region. In this regard, we have established the development of the engineering infrastructure of the lake shore. The construction of a sewage system and electrical networks "Beskol-Akshi" has begun.As of today, the runway of the Usharal airport, the Taldykorgan-Usharal highway have been reconstructed, and the Talgo high-speed train has been launched. Due to the annual increase in the flow of tourists, design estimates for the construction of an additional terminal are being developed to increase the capacity of the Usharal airport from 50 to 125 passengers," B. Isabayev said.
According to the head of the region, the second direction influencing the growth of the tourism potential of the Zhetisu region is Lake Balkhash.
In particular, 122 km of the 132 km road to Balkhash has been completed, and the remaining 10 km will be fully operational before the start of the 2025 tourist season. In addition, engineering infrastructure is being supplied to the lake shore, 2.2 billion tenge has been allocated from the republican budget for 2024 for these purposes. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of next year.
In addition, speaking about the plans for the development of ecological tourism, Beibit Isabayev said that the design and estimate documentation for the construction of a ski and biathlon complex has been developed. Also, 3.3 billion tenge is provided from the republican budget for the repair of the road to the Burkhan-Bulak waterfall next year. In addition, the repair of the road to Lake Zhasylkol in the Sarkan district has been fully completed this year, and a new visitor center has been opened in the village of Topolevka.
