By the end of 2027, it is planned to implement 79 projects worth 1.1 trillion tenge with the creation of over 9,000 jobs, including the construction of a passenger airport on the territory of the Khorgos – Eastern Gate SEZ. This became known during a briefing with the participation of Akim of the region Beibit Isabayev, held at the site of the CCS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the press service of Akim of the region Zhetisu reports.

According to the head of the region, the construction of the 3rd and 4th stages of the Dostyk Trans Terminal multifunctional cargo handling terminal with a capacity of 350 thousand containers per year is underway at Dostyk station.
The current logistics cargo transportation terminal of Eurotrans Group LLP is also carrying out preparatory work on the construction of a temporary storage warehouse with an area of 40 hectares and a cost of 50 million US dollars.
In order to further develop the customs industry, a new Dostyk Customs Service temporary storage terminal with a capacity of 100 vehicles per day was opened at the station in January this year.
- With the completion of the reconstruction of the Usharal-Dostyk road, the flow of international cargo turnover has increased and it has become necessary to expand customs points. Thus, the expansion of the Alakol automobile checkpoint from 2 to 6 lanes is being completed, and the capacity will increase from 200 to 1,600 vehicles per day. In addition, the Dostyk-Moynty railway is under construction. The project will increase the capacity of Dostyk station by 5 times, that is, from 12 to 60 trains," the governor of the region Zhetisu said.
