Today, in the "House of Friendship", within the framework of the project of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan (APK) "Caravan of Friendship", a solemn event called "Tarazym – Tumarym, Turkistanym – Turan" was held.
The event was organized with the support of the Kogamdyk Kelisim Public Consent Centers for the Social Development of Turkestan and Zhambyl regions.
The purpose of the event is to share experiences in strengthening social harmony in the regions, hold meetings of members of ethno–cultural associations with the population, develop communications, promote APK projects in accordance with the objectives of the XXXIII session, as well as popularize the Healthy Consciousness project.
First, a delegation from Zhambyl region visited the new "House of Friendship" in Turkestan and got acquainted with the exhibition of ethnocultural associations.
The delegation included heads of ethnocultural associations, chairmen and deputies of the councils of elders and mothers, veterans, representatives of the youth wing of the APK, employees of the Center for Public Harmony, artists of the Zhambyl Regional Philharmonic named after Kenen Azerbayev and media representatives.
The solemn event, held at the House of Friendship, was attended by the chairmen and members of the councils of elders and mothers of the APK of the Turkestan region, as well as heads and representatives of ethnocultural associations. Nursultan Seitzhanov, Deputy Head of the Department of Public Development of the Turkestan region, noted that the Friendship Caravan project plays an important role in strengthening unity and national accord.
Chairman of the Council of Elders of the APK of the Turkestan region Sozakbai Abdikov, head of the Center for Public Accord of the Turkestan region Elmira Zhangazieva and Chairman of the Council of Elders of the APK of the Zhambyl region Seilkhan Askarbek also delivered speeches, who discussed issues of promoting public harmony and educating youth in the spirit of interethnic culture.
Mubarak Zhinakbayeva, Head of the Center for Public Consent of the Information and Social Development Department of Zhambyl region, emphasized the importance of the event in her speech.
After the official part, a concert of the Zhambyl Regional Philharmonic took place.
During the event, representatives of both regions, who contributed to strengthening ethnic and cultural harmony and social harmony, were awarded letters of appreciation on behalf of the head of the Department of Social Development of the Turkestan region, Yerlan Kuzembayev.
