In 2024, more than 12,000 preventive measures among children and adolescents were carried out in Kazakhstan. Juvenile police officers actively interact with educational institutions, conducting classes on children's rights and identifying students who are prone to delinquency.
Over 94,000 such meetings were organized during the year, which contributes to the formation of a safe environment in schools. One of the important tasks was the fight against illegal content on the Internet. Since the beginning of the year, more than 35,000 illegal resources have been identified, including 127 sites promoting violence and suicide. Actively responding to such threats helps to prevent negative effects on adolescents and reduce the risk of their involvement in illegal activities.
These measures are already yielding results: juvenile delinquency has decreased by 6%. The largest decrease is observed in homicides (-29%), thefts (-19%) and robberies (-15%). Involving parents, educators, and the police in joint preventive work helps create a safe future for children.
