Farmers of the two regions have fully paid off with the Food Corporation under the forward grain purchase agreements, which they concluded in early spring 2024.
In total, the grain operator allocated 40.7 billion tenge to finance field work this year.
Of these, agricultural producers in the East Kazakhstan region received over 1 billion tenge, which allowed them to contract the supply of more than 13 thousand tons of grain for the future harvest. As of December 20, the agricultural enterprises of the region fulfilled their obligations to the Food Corporation.
Agrarians of Pavlodar region have signed contracts in the amount of 687.1 million tenge. To date, farms have supplied 8.3 thousand tons of grain to the corporation's elevators, or 100% under forward contracts in 2024.
The three leaders also included agricultural enterprises of Kostanay region, which have returned 137.1 thousand tons of agricultural products worth 10.7 billion tenge to the grain fund of the Food Corporation. This represents 96.4% of the contracted volumes of the 2024 forward.
The largest number of applications for financing the forward purchase were submitted by farmers of the main grain-growing regions: North Kazakhstan, Kostanay and Akmola regions. Thus, farmers of North Kazakhstan region contracted products for 18.8 billion tenge, the return under the forward contracts in 2024 amounted to 14.8 billion tenge or 190.1 thousand tons. Agricultural enterprises of the Akmola region received more than 9 billion tenge as state support. To date, they have supplied 87.9 thousand tons of grain to the grain elevators of the Food Corporation, which is 78.4% of the contracted volume.
Under the terms of the forward contract, farmers undertake to return the funds received after harvesting in the form of marketable grain. Since September, the elevators of the Food Corporation have received 502.4 thousand tons of grain of the new crop under forward contracts.
The forward purchase program is implemented annually to support agricultural producers. In 2024, 324 agricultural enterprises were funded under this program. Also, in order to assist small and medium-sized farms in the marketing of products, the Food Corporation conducts direct purchase of surplus grain. Another program of the grain operator provides assistance to small agricultural producers in selling crop products to foreign markets. Thus, contracts worth $19.5 million were signed under the grain export consolidation program.
As of today, the Food Corporation's fund has received 729 thousand tons of grain from the 2024 harvest under all financing programs.
