30 km of gas distribution networks have been built in the Old Town of Temirtau, and 668 houses have access to central blue fuel. In total, gas was supplied to 3330 houses in the city of Metallurgov.
The gasification program was launched in Temirtau in 2020 and is divided into eight stages. To date, a part of Sotsgorod has already been provided with natural gas, the construction of gas networks continues in the districts of Otradnoye, ABC quarter and Gorka Druzhby.
Natural gas is also available on the Right Bank. For this purpose, specialists have laid 43.8 km of gas distribution networks. Construction began in April 2023 and was completed on time.
– In Temirtau, natural gas is available in 1,603 houses of the Social City. 1,059 houses on the Right Bank have been launched. As well as access to natural gas, 668 houses of the Old Town received access. We are gradually building gas distribution networks and putting them into operation at QazaqGaz Aimaq. A total of 6357 houses will be covered by the private sector gasification project. This long–awaited event will improve the ecology of the city and reduce residents' heating costs," said Temirtau Akim Galym Ashimov.
Pensioner Mikhail Efanov has lived on the Right Bank all his life.
– For us, the central gas supply is a great relief. We are tired of heating the house with coal. Carry it, take out the ashes, and breathe in the coal dust. After learning how the transition to gas was praised in Sotsgorod, we prepared in advance and equipped the house for gas heating," he shared.
There is a government support program for Temirtau residents in need of financial assistance. In 2.5 years, 228 families have received subsidies for gasification. Residents can seek advice from the Department of Employment and Social Programs of Temirtau at 22 Tchaikovsky Street.
