Energy Worker's Day in Kazakhstan is celebrated every third Sunday in December. This is a professional holiday for energy industry workers who provide heat and electricity not only to the homes of ordinary citizens, but also to the whole country.
The head of the region congratulated the specialists working in the energy sector of Aktobe region on their professional holiday.
In his speech, the mayor emphasized the important role of the energy industry in the development of the region and improving the quality of life of people. According to him, this industry is the basis of stability, and the hard work of power engineers directly affects the progress of the economy and the improvement of living conditions of citizens.
"The Head of State has repeatedly stressed the importance of modernizing, launching new production facilities and attracting investments to maintain the operability of equipment in the energy industry. This is a strategic task of particular importance. Today we are on the verge of a large-scale reform of the energy system. Energy is not just a profession, but an area that requires tremendous effort and high responsibility. Your job is to provide heat and light in people's homes, and for this I want to express my sincere gratitude to each specialist," the mayor noted.
During the ceremony, the head of the region presented state awards approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to industry specialists for their significant contribution to its development.
The Order of Glory, III degree, was awarded to Nurtas Abuov, a refractor at Aktobe CHPP JSC, and Nurbolat Sarbasov, shift supervisor at the same enterprise; Talgat Sisenbayev, Head of the Energosystem LLP service; Sailaubai Tazhgarin, senior foreman at the enterprise; Musa Ibrai, head of the district of main heating networks at Aktobe su-energy group JSC.
Lyudmila Koltsova, Deputy Head of the Aktobe electricity Supply section of Aktobeenergosnab LLP, was awarded the Yeren Enbegi Ushin medal.
It should be noted that more than 5,000 specialists work in the field of energy in the region. The average energy consumption of the region is 944 MW, of which 485 MW is provided by local energy sources.
