Today Aktobe celebrates the 100th anniversary of the regional socio-political newspaper Aktobe. The event will include the exhibition "Zhuz zhyl zhylnamasy", dedicated to the centenary, a scientific and practical conference, a photo exhibition "Aktobe - 100 years" and a solemn event. Distinguished guests from all over the country were invited to the anniversary. Among them are deputy of the Senate of the Parliament Nurtore Zhusip, deputy of the Mazhilis Zhanarbek Ashimzhan, Honored Journalist of Kazakhstan Meirambek Tolepbergenov, Doctor of Philology, Professor, former deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper Aktobe Serikkali Baymenshe, Honored Journalist of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kainar Olzhai, editor-in-chief of the international newspaper Turkestan, former editor-in-chief of the newspaperAktobe" by Baurzhan Babazhanuly.
Before the event, the honorary guests and the director of Aktobe Media LLP, Rauken Otynshin, were received by the head of the region, Askhat Shakharov.
In his speech, the governor of the region stressed that the Aktobe newspaper, continuing the traditions laid down under the leadership of famous writers and journalists, is being modernized in accordance with the requirements of today and celebrates its centenary with new achievements.
The guests who spoke at the meeting touched upon the past and present of the Aktobe regional newspaper, spoke about the role of the Kazakh press in society.
At the end of the meeting, the head of the region presented each guest with a recently published 7-volume collection of Kobylanda Batyr's heroic poem, published in three languages, as well as a commemorative medal for the Newspaper Aktobe - 100 Years.
