Despite the cold, the capital's volunteers treated passers-by who were freezing on the street with baursaks and hot tea. Such actions are held annually in cold weather, the official website of Astana Akimat reports.
Volunteers of the Astana Zhastary Youth Resource Center distributed baursaks and hot tea to passengers waiting for public transport, residents selling in street stalls and bus drivers.
According to the organizers, even distributing baursaks and hot tea on a cold day can strengthen people's love for each other.
"On such a cold day as it is now, this event, organized by volunteers in our capital, has become a real source of warmth for residents and guests of the city. Hot tea and warm greetings warmed the hearts and lifted the mood. This event is designed to promote communication and mutual assistance, as well as strengthen unity and friendship in society. Everyone who takes part in the action will be able to feel the atmosphere of mutual charity and care," said Merey Kalel, a volunteer at Astana Zhastary.
It is worth noting that this promotion will last until the end of the winter season.
