A parent-teacher meeting on the topic "Child safety in educational institutions" was held at school No. 108 in Astana, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
The meeting was attended by Gulsim Khasenova, Chief Specialist of the Department for the Protection of Minors' Rights of the Astana City Education Department, Botagoz Kopzhasarova, lawyer-mediator of the specialized inter-district Juvenile Court of Astana, and about 400 teachers and parents.
The purpose of the event is to enhance the legal and pedagogical culture of parents and teachers in matters of juvenile delinquency.
Akmaral Tazhbagambetova, Inspector of Juvenile Affairs of the Department of Juvenile Police of the UMPS DP of the Yesil district, spoke "About the prevention of juvenile delinquency", teacher-psychologist, mediator Maira Suleimenova gave a lecture on "Child safety", psychologist of the Astana City Mental Health Center Shynar Zhunusova "About a healthy lifestyle", lawyer of the Public Foundation on the topic "Law", Nurai Shortayeva "Child and parents", psychologist of the Astana Psychological Support Center Aliya Karmenova "About the Psychological Support Center", also on the topic "The role of fathers in the family", Deputy Chairman of the Republican Public Association "Union of Fathers", head of the Astana branch, member of the Commission for the Protection of the Rights of Adolescent Children at the Akimat of Astana Bekdayyr Kuzembai.
The parent-teacher meeting also raised issues of the role of the family in the prevention of juvenile delinquency, parental responsibility for certain types of juvenile delinquency, etc.
"Such events are very important. We want there to be many parents who will bring up their children well," said Bekdayyr Kuzembai, Deputy chairman of the Republican Public Association Union of Fathers.
