Topical issues of veterinary medicine and fishing industry discussed in Atyrau region

During a working trip to Atyrau region, Vice Minister of Agriculture Amangali Berdalin visited the North Caspian Fish LLP Shortanbai fish factory, which is currently undergoing complete reconstruction. According to the design estimates, 12 billion tenge will be required for the modernization of the plant. The project is financed by the investor's own funds and borrowed funds through the SEC.
After the reconstruction is completed, 10,000 tons of fish will be processed here and 5,000 tons of finished products will be produced. It is planned to produce 5 million canned food per year, 1,000 tons of dried products.
The Vice Minister also took part in the opening of a new building erected for the Kurmangazy district unit of the Zhaiyk-Caspian Interregional Fisheries Inspectorate. The modular facility is fully equipped in accordance with modern standards.
In the village of Birlik, the Vice Minister met with the population and with organizations involved in the fishing industry. Topical issues and proposals of the industry were discussed, as well as an exchange of questions and answers.
In addition, the Vice Minister held a meeting with specialists from veterinary organizations in the region.
During the meeting, Amangali Berdalin recalled that within the framework of the Concept for the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2021-2030, indicators for the construction of veterinary and slaughterhouses and cattle burial grounds were established.
Following the meeting, the Vice Minister gave a number of specific instructions. Among them: strengthening food safety control, ensuring timely connection to the VSE module and meeting all established indicators in accordance with the approved deadlines. The Vice Minister stressed that only an integrated approach would effectively improve the level of veterinary safety in the region.
