Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited Mangystau region on a working trip

Today, Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Amangali Berdalin held a meeting with representatives of agriculture, fishing industry and entrepreneurs of Mangystau region. During the meeting, issues of developing the agro-industrial complex, supporting local producers and improving infrastructure were discussed.
As part of the work program, the Vice Minister visited a new wholesale distribution center in Aktau. The center includes four warehouses with a total capacity of 40,000 tons of food. The project, worth 4 billion tenge, is designed to strengthen the region's food security and stabilize prices for socially important products.
Amangali Berdalin also got acquainted with the work of the incubation workshop, where artificial stocking of the Caspian Sea with young salmon species, including the Caspian salmon, listed in the Red Book, will be carried out. The project is being implemented by the Agency for Applied Ecology of Kazakhstan LLP by order of the Akimat of the Mangystau region on the basis of the Sultan Agro LLP greenhouse complex.
It is planned to create a breeding stock of salmon and an incubation workshop in Aktau. The project also opens up opportunities for entrepreneurs to grow fish in cages in certain areas of the Caspian Sea. To implement this direction, the Ministry of Agriculture is developing a government decree that will allow the use of wild Caspian salmon as breeding stock.
