According to the results of January-November 2024, positive dynamics remained in the key sectors of the socio-economic development of the Turkestan region. According to preliminary data, the gross regional product amounted to 4.3 trillion tenge, and short-term economic growth reached 109.8%. The issues of achieving these economic indicators were discussed at the weekly meeting of the regional akim's office.
Akim of the region Darkhan Satybaldy instructed the heads of departments, akims of districts and cities to step up work to increase their own incomes, open production facilities and attract investments.
According to Kanat Kayypbek, head of the Department of Economics and Budget Planning of the region, in accordance with the instruction of the head of state to ensure economic growth at the level of 6%, work is underway to achieve targets in such sectors as manufacturing, agriculture, trade, construction, transport and communications. The volume of industrial production amounted to 1,078.6 billion tenge, an increase of 109%. The main contribution was made by the following industries: mining (+105.8%), mechanical engineering (+110.8%), food production (+103%) and furniture (+164.5%).
The volume of agricultural products amounted to 1,006.1 billion tenge, an increase of 104.5%, which makes the Turkestan region one of the leaders among the regions of the republic. The volume of investments in fixed assets reached 1,064.7 billion tenge, an increase of 125.5%. The volume of construction works amounted to 379.2 billion tenge, an increase of 31%. The area of commissioned housing increased by 21.3% and reached 1,035.0 thousand square meters. meters.
On behalf of the akim of the region, a roadmap for the economic growth of districts and cities for 2024-2030 has been approved. Regular monitoring will be carried out, and from 2025 it is planned to introduce a rating system for evaluating the effectiveness of akimats of districts and cities.
