A working meeting between Vice Minister of Emergency Situations Batyrbek Abdyshev and Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Kazakhstan Alyosha Simkich took place at the Command Center for Strategic Planning and Operational Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The meeting was organized as part of a courtesy visit related to the recent start of the diplomatic mission of Mrs. Alyosha Simkich in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key aspects of cooperation in the field of emergency prevention and response. Special attention was paid to joint programs for the development of early warning systems and forecasting of natural disasters, the study of European countries' practices in dealing with recent emergencies, the digitalization of seismic activity data, as well as integration with the European Union's regional database on natural hazards and its specialized information platforms.
During the visit, representatives of the European Union were given a brief tour of the Command Center for Strategic Planning and Operational Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where its modern management and rapid response technologies in crisis situations, as well as risk monitoring and forecasting systems were demonstrated.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual readiness to strengthen partnership in the field of emergency prevention and response, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts in addressing global challenges and threats.
