The Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations listened to the results of the year and the plans of the Council of the Center for Emergencies
24.12.2024 22:18:04 1295 The fifteenth meeting of the Council of the Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction was held in Almaty. The event was attended by the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Major General Genghis Arinov and Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Urmatbek Shamyrkanov.
Serik Aubakirov, Director of the Center, reported on the achievements during the reporting period, and also announced plans for 2025, including the implementation of joint international projects aimed at reducing disaster risks and improving emergency preparedness.
During the meeting, a report on the Center's activities for 2024 was presented, the results of budget execution for the current year were discussed and the budget for 2025 was approved. Special attention was paid to personnel issues.
Chingis Arinov emphasized the high level of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in the field of civil protection, prevention and liquidation of emergency situations.
"Our countries work effectively in this area, regularly holding joint events to improve the professional skills of employees, ranging from senior staff to ordinary firefighters and rescuers. The center, created by us jointly, is a unique international platform that helps strengthen the capacity of emergency departments and improve the skills of rescuers," said the Minister of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan.
The Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations also emphasized the importance of the Center's interaction with the territorial divisions of the department for more effective work.
Following the meeting, the Council members decided to step up the Center's efforts to make more effective use of its potential in the implementation of international programs and projects. At the end of the meeting, the relevant decision of the Center's Council was signed.
The meeting became an important stage in strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of civil protection and improving public safety.
