On the eve of the New Year, the Almaty metro has been transformed: stations and carriages are decorated with festive lighting and decorations. The townspeople note that it gives a New Year's mood.
Christmas trees decorated with themed toys are installed at each station. Some carriages have holiday corners where passengers can take photos as a keepsake.
"We want every subway ride to become a little more festive for our passengers. Decorations at stations and in carriages are designed to give people the feeling of a fairy tale and set them up for a festive mood," the metro's press service noted.
Residents and guests of the city have already appreciated the festive decoration. Many passengers share photos on social media and express their gratitude for the atmosphere created.
