By the New Year holidays, Almaty Arbat has turned into a vibrant art object inspired by the famous Carnaby Street in London. The pedestrian street, beloved by the townspeople, was filled with thousands of lights, garlands and light installations, creating an atmosphere of comfort and magic.
Special attention is drawn to the glowing inscriptions with wishes: "Zhana zhylynyzben" (Happy New Year), "Bakytty bol" (Be happy), "Zhuldyzyn zhansyn" (Let your star shine). These messages seem to be addressed to everyone who comes here, charging with kindness and positivity. Residents and visitors of the city have already appreciated the original approach to decoration.
"The kids and I are just thrilled! We managed to take dozens of beautiful photos. I myself, as a child, enjoy these decorations. To be honest, the city looks like it's getting ready to embrace each of us. It's incredibly beautiful and bright here," said Almaty resident Alua Zhomart.
Shining figures of snowmen, bright stars and glowing deer are also installed along Zhibek Zholy Street, causing joy and smiles among both children and adults. The festive decoration is complemented by decorative bears and other elements that make walking along the Arbat especially cozy. One of the central installations was a huge glowing ball with the numbers "2025".
The central Arbat Christmas tree is decorated with colorful balls, twinkling garlands and stars. Giant gift boxes are located at its foot, adding a fabulous atmosphere to the space.
