A colorful concert at the Palace of the Republic marked the anniversary of the living legend of opera and cinema Bibigul Tulegenova. This year, the People's Artist and teacher turned 95 years old, of which she devoted 75 to the stage, becoming a symbol of the artistic spirit of Kazakhstan.
The program of the gala evening began with a variety symphony orchestra conducted by Alexander Belyakov, who played an overture on the themes of Shamshi Kaldayakov's immortal works. The instrumental wave was picked up by the popular cellist Bagzhan October, who performed the Kazakh folk song "Yapurai".
The concert was also attended by soloists of the Astana Opera State Opera and Ballet Theater and the Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abai, laureates of international competitions Damir Saduakhasov, Dana Talaspekova, Alikhan Zeynolla, Zhandarbek Yerkinbayev, Baluan Berkenov, Zarina Altynbayeva, Oleg Tatamirov, Rasul Zharmagambetov and Tahir Tazhi. They performed excerpts from operas by Mozart, Georges Bizet, Gioacchino Rossini, Alesandra Zatsepin and others. The festive atmosphere was created on the stage by the dance "Shashu" from the Saltanat ensemble.
The famous romance "Bulbul" by Latif Hamidi, after which Bibigul Akhmetovna was applauded as the "Kazakh Nightingale" not only in her homeland, but also in many countries of the world, was performed this time by Honored Worker of the Republic Tolkyn Zabirova.
In the finale, along with all the participants of the concert, the culprit of the celebration appeared on the stage. Bibigul Akhmetovna performed the "Table Song" from Giuseppe Verdi's opera La Traviata, as well as everyone's favorite "Song about Spring".
Earlier, on December 16, the birthday of the legendary opera singer, Almaty Mayor Yerbolat Dosayev congratulated Bibigul Tulegenova on her 95th birthday on behalf of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
