The Presidential New Year's Tree for children was held in Astana

A New Year's tree was held in the Presidential Center of Astana for young residents of the capital, the official website of the city akimat reports.
The event was organized on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of Astana.
Deputy Akim of Astana, Eset Bayken, congratulated the young residents of the city on the upcoming New Year, emphasizing the importance of creating favorable conditions for their development and success.
"Dear friends, our young talents! I wish you a Happy New Year. We strive to create conditions so that each of you can realize your talents, learn, develop and make new friends. For this purpose, new schools, palaces of creativity, sports grounds are being built in our city, as well as new parks and squares are being created. We want our future generation — and these are you, our dear children — to grow up to be healthy, educated and intelligent people. I wish you to reach great heights in the future," said Eset Bayken.
300 children took part in the celebration, including orphans, children left without parental care, representatives of low-income and large families, children with disabilities, with special educational needs, as well as gifted children who have achieved success in studies, sports, creativity and social life.
"New Year is a time when every child should feel important and loved. This is a wonderful initiative that combines education based on deep human and national values. The event scenario not only helps children develop their talents, but also teaches them important principles of life, such as respect for elders and consideration for others. It is important that attention is paid not only to academic achievements, but also to the formation of a moral foundation, which is the key to future success and harmonious development of young people," said Kasymkhan Sengazyev, Head of the Astana Education Department.
The festive program was rich and varied. The winners of the international contests "Slavyansky Bazar in Vitebsk" and the TV show "The Voice. Children", as well as famous Kazakh pop stars. Presenters and animators performed in costumes of characters from Kazakh and world fairy tales, and the New Year's atmosphere was highlighted by vivid graphic content that was broadcast on circular LED screens.
Christmas trees for young residents of the capital are also held in regional akimats on New Year's Eve.
