The JOLTAP project continues to support family business initiatives among residents of the capital. One such example is the story of a mother with many children, Zhanat Maishina, who was able to open her own coffee shop in the capital, the official website of the Astana Akimat reports.
The idea of creating her own coffee shop came to Zhanat Maishina during her maternity leave. A resident of the capital shared the idea of creating a family business with her husband, who supported her in this endeavor.
To begin with, Zhanat decided to learn how to run a restaurant business. While looking for suitable courses, she came across an advertisement on social media for the JOLTAP project, which offered to learn the skills of a barista.
The training lasted seven days. Within a week, Zhanat completed theory and practice as a barista.
"The classes were conducted by experienced specialists who helped me and the participants of the course to acquire the profession of a barista from scratch. In a week, we mastered all the necessary knowledge that should have been useful in the future," the entrepreneur emphasized.
After completing the courses, Zhanat and her husband sold the family car and purchased an estate. As a result, they opened a cozy coffee shop with aromatic coffee, desserts and lunches in the Almaty region.
In addition to the barista courses, Zhanat also decided to take part in the universal catering employee program. This allowed her to gain the necessary knowledge to effectively manage the coffee shop.
"The course allowed me to learn everything from waiter duties to restaurant management. This knowledge helped to build a work plan and create a unique atmosphere in my coffee shop. I am very grateful to the JOLTAP project for the opportunity to receive a high-quality and affordable education. I believe that such initiatives give people a chance to develop their skills and realize their dreams," says the entrepreneur.
It should be noted that thanks to JOLTAP, dozens of residents of the capital have already found their vocation, opened their own business and became examples of successful project implementation.
