The traditional Presidential New Year tree "Tangazhayp Zhana Zhyl" was held in Almaty. 400 children were invited to participate in the celebration, including orphans, children left without parental care, from low-income and large families, with special educational needs, as well as gifted children who have achieved success in studies, sports and creativity.
Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev congratulated the guests of the Christmas tree on behalf of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The festive atmosphere was set by the fairy–tale characters Olaf and the New Year's Deer. Together with the children, they set off on an exciting adventure, overcoming quests and solving riddles. The main task was to find the magic keys for the secret chest. Having solved all the mysteries and opened the chest, the children got to the fabulous performance "The Nutcracker" performed by the artists of the Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abai, which became the culmination of the holiday.
"Today we have become part of a fabulous miracle. This mood was set by animators and contests with interesting tasks. I especially enjoyed looking for the keys that were supposed to open the magic chest. To open it and find out what was in it, we had to team up and solve the puzzles quickly. It was an exciting game, some of the tasks were difficult, but together with the other guys we solved them. This day left me with the most unforgettable impressions," said Talshyn Kudusova, a student at boarding school No. 17.
The holiday program included traditional contests from Ayaz Ata and Akshakar, and at the end, the popular artist SADRADDIN performed a New Year's Song for the children.
"I felt like I was in a fairy tale, there was a magical atmosphere everywhere! A lot of exciting games and contests for speed, wit and courage were prepared for us. I especially remember the round where I had to perform a song to wake up a magical character and make him dance. It was a bit difficult to get through, but at the same time it was fun. I had a very good time, I even felt like the heroine of a fairy tale," said Arai Baibasarova, a student at the special boarding school No. 6.
All the guests of the holiday received New Year's gifts on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
