Today, the IX Asian Winter Games begin in Harbin, China. 137 athletes will compete on behalf of Kazakhstan. Among them are 3 athletes from Abay region.
One of them is Ernar Nursbekov, a native of Urzhar district. He is an international master of sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cross-country skiing. He is in the main team of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Our compatriot has been performing at the Championships of the Republic of Kazakhstan since 2018, and at international competitions since 2022. Prizewinner and winner of the Kazakhstan Championship and the World Championship.
His first coach was Didar Altynbekov, his current coach is Erdos Akhmadiev.
Ernar will compete in the 9th Asian Winter Games in the cross-country skiing event on February 8 at 11:00, and in the 4x7.5 km relay event on February 12 at 13:00.
