Akmola athlete Olzhas Klimin won a bronze medal in cross-country skiing at the Asian Games. He showed results in the 10 km freestyle race, losing only to two Japanese athletes and becoming the bronze medalist.
This is the second prize for the Kazakhstani national team in cross-country skiing. Previously, Konstantin Bortsov from Akmola took second place in the sprint race.
“We congratulate Olzhas Klimin, his coaches, the team and all Kazakhstanis on this bright victory! Let this medal be the beginning of his new achievements, and even greater victories await him in international arenas! This award is the result of hard work, daily training and great selflessness,” Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov noted in his congratulatory telegram.
