From February 11-15, 2025, the “City of Working Professions” republican festival is being held in Astana, organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the Year of Working Professions declared by the President of the country.
The venue is the “EXPO” international exhibition center, where thematic streets are presented by professions.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan has provided a corner dedicated to the professions of rescuers and firefighters as part of the festival.
In order to increase the prestige of the rescuer profession and arouse interest in the profession among young people, “Rescuers Street” and “Firefighters and Rescuers Zone” were opened. These spaces create new opportunities for getting acquainted with important professions in the field of security and civil protection.
Vice-Minister of Emergency Situations Kegen Tursynbayev attended the opening ceremony: “Our goal is to show young people how important the rescue profession is for society. We are proud that we can instill in the younger generation not only modern equipment and technology, but also a sense of patriotism and respect for employees who risk their lives every day for the safety of others. We invite you all to join the festival and learn more about our work to help save and protect people,” he noted.
In the “Corner of Firefighters and Rescuers”, visitors can see an exhibition that includes modern models of rescuers' special clothing, fire-technical weapons, a model of a quickly assembled fire department, rapid response firefighting equipment, and medical equipment used by employees of the Disaster Medicine Center.
The “City of Working Professions” festival is a great opportunity for young people to learn about a wide range of working professions and choose a path that will lead to a successful and in-demand career.
