Kanysh Tuleushin, First Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, held a meeting with the public and received citizens as part of a working trip to Atyrau region. During his speech, the First Vice Minister spoke about the development of the IT industry in the country and the region, as well as the introduction of the "Smart city" in Atyrau.
"Together with the akimat, we have opened the Atyrau Hub, which contributes to the popularization of the IT sector, the development of human capital, training in new skills and holding specialized events in the region. As of today, 17 regional hubs have already been opened across the country. Two IT schools have been accredited in the region, which participate in the TechOrda program to train Kazakhstanis in IT specialties," he noted.
As part of the implementation of the "Smart city" in Atyrau, a cashless payment system has been installed on 249 buses. Last year, 99.75% of tickets were sold by bank transfer. In total, 38,814 surveillance cameras operate in the city, of which 5,331 are connected to the police control center. The 109 contact center was put into operation, where 168 857 calls were received last year.
The infrastructure of the region consists of 14 PSC branches, 15 back offices, 42 Connection Points, the 1st special zone and 2 special sectors of PSC. In 2023, 570,787 services were provided in Atyrau region to work with the population.
One of the urgent issues for residents of Atyrau region is the provision of high-quality communication and Internet access. There are 153 settlements (NP) in the region. Of these, 2G, 3G (46 villages), 4G (88 villages) are provided with Internet via mobile technologies. Fixed Internet is provided by ADSL technology - 93 NP and by VOLS technology - 103.
In addition, 5 rural settlements are connected to the Internet via KazSat satellite systems, and 42 schools in the region are connected to the Starlink satellite system.
Within the framework of the national project in the field of communications "Accessible Internet", by the end of 2027, it is planned to build a "Local network" of FOCL in 18 SNPs of Atyrau region through a mechanism for subsidizing small and medium-sized telecom operators
