Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev got acquainted with the construction of sewerage networks during a working detour and a meeting with residents of Almaly district.
The project provides for the construction of sewerage networks on 19 streets of Almaly district with a total length of 15 km. This year, the construction of 3 km of networks on 6 streets will be completed. Also, construction work has been completed on the site of Bruno Street, where there have been no centralized sewer networks since the construction of the private sector.
In 2025, the project will continue to be implemented on the remaining 13 streets.
As a result of the measures taken, 6800 consumers will be provided with central utility networks.
"On behalf of the residents, thank you for your attention to our requests and the work done. We have a central sewer system, street lighting has been done, and the road has been completely paved in full width after the work. We really appreciate these changes, now we are comfortable and cozy. We are happy to go out for a walk. Thank you for your support and care," one of the residents thanked.
It is worth noting that in March 2024, at the initiative of Akim of the city Yerbolat Dosayev, new Rules for the maintenance of engineering communications were adopted in Almaty. According to the document, when laying underground engineering networks, the opening of road surfaces and the opening of streets should be carried out with the mandatory restoration of asphalt concrete pavement along the entire width of the road – from curb to curb.
The Mayor instructed the mayor of Almaly district to control the quality and speed of construction in order to ensure timely connection of consumers to centralized communications.
It should be recalled that the modernization of engineering infrastructure is actively underway in Almaty. In 9 months of this year, 219 km of new water supply and sanitation networks were built, 27.3 km of existing networks were modernized. In 2025, it is planned to build another 240 km and modernize 48 km of networks.
Thus, thanks to the complex of measures taken for about 100 thousand citizens, the long-term problem of water supply and sanitation associated with high wear of engineering networks will be solved.
