Deputy Akim of the Zhetisu region Asset Kanagatov and General Director of Intergas Central Asia JSC Manas Tasybayev inspected the construction of the Taldykorgan-Usharal main gas pipeline." The investment project "Construction of the Taldykorgan-Usharal main gas pipeline" is being implemented by the National Company "QazaqGaz" on behalf of the Head of State. The project is included in the Government's Action Plan to ensure economic growth in 2024. The construction of the new gas pipeline was started in August this year during the working trip of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov to the Zhetisu region. To date, more than 100 kilometers of pipe have already been welded. Over 90 units of special equipment and 128 employees are involved in the construction. The construction work is under special control and is strictly on schedule.
As noted by Deputy akim of the region Zhetisu Asset Kanagatov, this facility is of great economic importance for the region. Given this importance, as well as the speed of construction work, we expect the completion of construction ahead of schedule by almost one year. In this regard, by the end of 2025, 66 settlements of the Aksu, Sarkan, Alakol districts, where 124 thousand inhabitants live, will be able to access natural gas. An additional positive effect will be in the form of an increase in business activity, the development of small and medium-sized businesses with the creation of new jobs.
