The Open City Trampoline Gymnastics Championship is being held in Astana, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
The competition is attended by pupils of the specialized children's and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve No. 1 of the Akimat of Astana, athletes from local private clubs and 170 participants from Petropavlovsk.
"361 athletes are engaged in trampoline gymnastics in Astana. Of these, 124 athletes train at the specialized children's and youth sports school of the Olympic Reserve No. 1. The Open Championship takes place in the city every 2-3 years. Following the results of the championship, the best athletes will be selected and the Astana city national team will be formed. This competition is an important milestone in the sports life of the city, opening up new opportunities for young athletes to achieve high results. The competitions will also give a great impetus to the development of trampoline gymnastics in the capital," said Nurbol Tokpanov, Executive Director of the Trampoline Gymnastics Federation of Astana.
It should be noted that the competitions are held at the trampoline gymnastics center, located at Korgalzhynskoye Highway 2A. The championship will last until November 23.
