A Forum of agricultural workers was held in the Abai region, where the results of the development of the agro-industrial complex of the region were summed up and prospects for the coming years were outlined.
Akim of the region Nurlan Urankhayev, speaking with a congratulatory word, noted that thanks to the work of agricultural workers, the economic stability and well-being of the region are increasing.
"I congratulate you on your professional holiday – the Day of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers! This is a special day when we pay tribute to your hard but important work, which you invest daily in the development of agriculture and the prosperity of our young region. Thanks to your hard work and dedication, rural development is ensured, economic stability and well-being of the region are increased. I wish you good health, happiness and well-being in your families, success in your work and further achievements," the mayor said.
The governor of the region also visited the exhibition, where local agricultural producers presented their products.
In general, according to the results of 10 months of this year, the region's farmers have demonstrated significant success. The total volume of agricultural production amounted to more than 335.9 billion tenge. Significant growth was noted in animal husbandry – by 110.7%. Government support remains one of the key success factors. This year, 17.5 billion tenge was allocated for subsidizing the agro-industrial complex, which allowed supporting more than 2,000 agricultural producers.
"Special attention is paid to the development of animal husbandry. The Abai region ranks third in the republic in terms of the number of cattle and horses, as well as sixth in terms of the number of small cattle. Meat and milk production increased by 102.8% and 102.6%, respectively," Head of the Department of Agriculture Yertai Kuanbayev said at the Forum.
During the forum, the best agricultural workers of the region were awarded state awards. Among them are the order of "Kurmet", "Enbek Danki" of the III degree, the medal "Yeren enbegi ushin", as well as certificates of honor and letters of thanks on behalf of the leadership of the region.
According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the following are awarded:
