Today in Astana, as part of joint preventive work, the capital and Akmola rescuers conducted joint raids in residential and border areas of the capital.
The main goal is to prevent fires, reduce deaths in the private sector and develop a mechanism for interaction with interested authorities to prevent emergencies. Special attention is paid to residential buildings with stove heating.
"In order to stabilize the situation with fires in the residential sector of the capital and the Astana agglomeration, massive preventive raids "Biz kaipsizdik usin" are being carried out. Private houses remain a high-risk area due to non-compliance with the rules of operation of heating and electrical appliances," said Yerlan Turegeldiev, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
In total, since the beginning of the heating period, 913 fires have been registered in the country, in which 41 people were killed and 28 injured. Disappointing statistics emphasize the need for such preventive measures.
Rescuers, together with volunteers, carry out explanatory work, visiting houses and holding conversations with residents. The key safety rules are explained to everyone:
• how to use heating devices correctly;
• the importance of good electrical wiring;
• the need for fire extinguishing equipment.
• how to act in case of fire.
Rescuers note that it is possible to reduce the risk of fires and save people's lives by increasing the level of safety culture of our citizens.
