Environmental safety issues and measures to improve the state of the environment in the region were discussed at a staff meeting chaired by Akim of the region Askhat Shakharov.
The head of the Ecology Department, Erbol Kuanov, spoke about the implementation of the Roadmap for the comprehensive solution of environmental problems in the Aktobe region. 44 events are planned to be held within its framework. Some of them have already been successfully completed, which has affected the positive result. So, for 9 months of this year, the actual volume of emissions into the atmosphere amounted to 90.5 thousand tons, which is 2% less than last year.
As part of the implementation of the Roadmap at the AZF, the modernization of furnaces in workshops No. 1 and 2, as well as the replacement of more than 70 aspiration units, are being completed this year. A new electrofilter was installed at the gas station, which reduced emissions by 63%. In Kandyagash, Centaur LLP continues to clear maps. KazTransOil JSC and NWTK Munai Tas LLP are working to reduce emissions in the Kenkiyak GTS oil storage tanks.
Work continues on the elimination of natural landfills.
Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management Askar Dzhusibaliyev announced the results of the republican environmental campaign "Taza Kazakhstan", held in the Aktobe region. The campaign is being implemented as part of the instructions of the President of the country and is aimed at improving the environmental situation and landscaping in the regions.
More than 418 thousand Aktobe residents, more than 11 thousand employees of enterprises and organizations took part in the action. In general, order has been restored in 105 thousand courtyards, 103 thousand private houses, and 1,500 social facilities. 207 reservoirs, 44 fountains and 94 thousand meters of irrigation ditches were cleaned. Also, 291 parks and squares were cleared of garbage, 356 thousand tree seedlings were planted. 74 thousand tons of garbage were taken to the landfill.
The Speaker noted that thanks to the joint work of government agencies, enterprises and ordinary citizens, the environmental situation in the region has been significantly improved, as well as the level of environmental culture among the population has been increased.
The Governor of the region instructed to keep the implementation of the Roadmap under control and ensure the timely implementation of all planned measures to improve the environmental situation in the region.
