12 teams of student and working youth of Atyrau region took part in the tournament "Taza Kazakhstan – taza aimak", which was held in the format of debates.
The tournament was held in order to increase the social and creative activity of young people, preserve the nature of their native land, and popularize ecological culture, said Nurmukhan Tlegen, a specialist at the Atyrau Youth Resource Center. At the same time, he noted that environmental events among young people will continue.
– Within the framework of the Clean Kazakhstan program, large–scale events are taking place in Atyrau region, one of which is today's tournament. The participants of the debate raise issues relevant to our region and propose a common solution, share new information and openly express their opinion on this issue," N. Tlegen said.
According to the participant of the discussion Shugyla Bolganbai, such tournaments raise the intellectual level and help to learn a lot of new useful information.
– I know that the debate brought together young people who are not indifferent to the environmental situation in the region. I think everyone should start first of all with themselves, with their daily lives. We hope that we will develop responsibility and a high ecological culture, – says Sh. Bolganbai.
The total prize fund of the intellectual tournament amounted to 150 thousand tenge. The best speakers were awarded cash prizes and letters of thanks.
Today, more than 60 thousand people have taken part in environmental actions within the framework of the Clean Kazakhstan program, 1,477 pieces of equipment have been involved, over 1,726 tons of garbage have been removed to landfills of solid household waste.
