Gulmira Baigabulova, a member of the Public Council for Construction, Land Relations, Urbanism, Energy and Water Supply, shared her opinion on the adoption of a new procedure for the inspection of construction sites in Almaty.
"This is the third year that I have been talking about the need to return control over the construction process, and I think that the Rules for inspecting construction and Installation work are the first step towards full-fledged state control. These documents are directly related to our security. Clear inspection rules should protect residents from substandard work, and bona fide developers from unreasonable claims," the expert believes.
It should be recalled that at the extraordinary XXVI session of the Almaty Maslikhat, the Procedure for visiting construction sites to inspect construction and installation works for compliance with the requirements for the construction and reconstruction of load-bearing and (or) enclosing structures was approved. The legal act is currently being registered with the Department of Justice.
