In the irrigation period of 2024, the branch of Kazvodkhoz in the East Kazakhstan region fully provided 13.5 thousand hectares of acreage with water. This was announced at the site of the regional communications service by the director of the branch Nurzhan Amirzhanov.
In total, the branch concluded contracts for the supply of irrigation water with 364 farms in the region. The total volume of supplied water is 51.8 million..m3
To prepare for the flood season, the branch has discharged water at reservoirs, ongoing repairs are being carried out at water management facilities, 9 units of special equipment have been purchased. Work has been completed on selective mechanized cleaning of channels with a length of 36 km and maintenance on 7 GTS, restoration work has been carried out after the flood on 9 GTS, work continues.
"The growing season in the Abai region was successful, which allowed us to harvest a good harvest. We are currently carrying out flood control work. A multifactorial survey of the Charsky reservoir was conducted. Construction and installation work is underway to reconstruct the reservoir, which is planned to be completed by the end of the year," said Nurzhan Amirzhanov, director of the Kazvodkhoz branch in the East Kazakhstan region.
