In Pavlodar, the Dynamo sports complex hosted the Fire and Rescue Sports Championship among students of the city's schools, dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
19 teams, 120 participants aged 10 to 16 years competed in speed and agility for the title of the best "Young Lifeguard".
The event was attended by the leadership of the Emergency Situations Ministry, representatives of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, the Department of Education, as well as the regional Commissioner for Children's Rights Saule Shakeneva.
The championship was organized by the Departments of Emergency Situations of the region in order to instill in schoolchildren the skills of initial actions in case of emergency situations, the development of fire and rescue sports, the popularization of a healthy lifestyle among children and youth, the formation of a conscious and responsible attitude to issues of personal and collective security.
The participants had to go through several stages. The guys temporarily ascend the suspended assault ladder to the second floor of the training tower. We passed a 100-meter obstacle course: a 75 cm high barrier, running with fire hoses on a board, performing tasks with these sleeves at speed.
All participants showed excellent physical fitness and the will to win.
According to the results of all stages, the first place and the cup were won by the team of Secondary School No. 18, the second place was taken by the team of Secondary School named after K.Bekkhozhin, the third was won by the team of Secondary School No. 30.
"Thanks to the competitions, the children develop the skills necessary for rescue activities, they learn to work in a team. This is the first step towards training future professional rescuers. Following the results of the competition, a selection will be held for the regional national team, which will represent the Pavlodar region in the republican competitions," the head of the Emergency Department said at the award ceremony.
The winners and prize-winners were awarded with diplomas and gifts.
