The premiere of the documentary drama "Independents", dedicated to the prevention of drug addiction and countering drug crime, took place at the Moscow State Academic Russian Drama Theater named after M. Gorky, the official website of the Mayor's Office of Astana reports.
The production is presented as part of the implementation of a comprehensive plan to combat drug crime and an action to prevent drug addiction in the capital "Astana – a city without drugs".
The Prime Minister was visited by Deputy akims of the capital Eset Bayken and Erik Meyrkhanov, deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament, representatives of city administrations, public figures.
"In order to convey to young people the deplorable consequences of drug use, it is necessary to use any form of propaganda against the drug business. In this case, it is a theater. It is a center of attraction for people and I think that it will be interesting for young people to watch an instructive performance," said Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Elnur Beisenbayev.
The documentary drama tells about our contemporaries, who, for one reason or another, fell into a pernicious addiction. The audience watched six bitter stories of self-destruction, violent falls to the bottom, desperate attempts to get out of the pitch-black hell into which each of the characters fell due to an irresistible destructive desire to forget and temporarily escape from the surrounding reality.
"While writing the script, I experienced a whole range of emotions. This is pain, anger and despair. There were moments of utter devastation. Six real stories of people who faced drugs and ruined their lives should clearly show the audience that drugs are evil," said Oleg Fedorenko, director of the documentary drama.
The drama is based on real events. The young director, through the prism of creativity, conveyed stories that make you think about your own life and raise acute issues of spiritual values and morality.
The documentary drama "Independents" is not just a play, but a social project that aims to protect the younger generation from addiction and strengthen spiritual values in society.
