On the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a chess tournament "Karttarym — asyl kazynam" was held among pensioners of the capital's Baykonyr district, the official website of the Akimat of Astana reports.
About 30 pensioners over the age of 60 took part in the competition. The round-robin tournament lasted 3 days. As a result, the best chess players were identified among our active pensioners.
Among men:
1st place -Kalin Ilyas
1st place-Otargaliev Askar
2nd place-Tyshtybaev Shakirbek
3rd place — Baitemirov Bakhytbek
Among women:
1st place — Kalelova Raykhan
2nd place-Atushova Korlan
3rd place-Tusupova Batima
The winners were awarded with special medals, cups and valuable prizes.
