On October 15, 2024 in Aktau, Vice Minister of Energy K. Arymbek took part in the forum "Business Opportunities in projects of JSC NC KazMunaiGas", aimed at supporting Kazakhstani content in the country's oil and gas projects.
The event was attended by Akim of Mangystau region N. Kilybai, Chairman of JSC NC KazMunayGas A. Khasenov, as well as more than 100 domestic producers. The forum participants got acquainted with the work of KMG in support of local content and discussed further plans in this direction.
During his speech, Vice Minister K.Arymbek spoke about the tasks set by the Government to increase the Kazakhstani content in the procurement of subsurface users of the oil and gas sector and support domestic producers of goods, as well as suppliers of works (services).
The Vice Minister also noted the ongoing work of the Ministry of Energy on the development of domestic value.
To date, the Ministry has conducted an analysis of subsurface use contracts in the field of hydrocarbons, according to the results of which 60 subsurface users have been identified, where the volume of purchase of each by the end of 2023 amounted to more than 1.5 billion tenge. In order to support domestic producers and increase domestic value, issues of concluding long-term contracts and off-take contracts are being worked out with each subsurface user.
