Famous photographer Dmitry Dotsenko shared spectacular and colorful pictures of New Year's Almaty on his page on the social network. His lens captured colorful views of Arbat, Panfilov Street, Abay, Astana and Republic squares, as well as the bright park of the first president.
On the eve of the New Year, Almaty was decorated in a special way. From the airport to the central squares, the city has completely taken on a festive look. About 300 sparkling structures were installed in the city, among which fairy-tale characters and festive decorations were depicted. In addition, 120 small architectural objects that were renovated last year were reused. The trees along the trunk are decorated with LED lights and garlands. In total, 1,500 light elements were installed throughout the city, of which 350 are the restored last year's bracket.
It should be noted that the main New Year Tree of the metropolis with a height of 25 meters was installed on Abay square. This year, for the first time, the Christmas tree was made not in a frame, but in a classic style with a natural trunk. Six kilometers of garlands, colored balls and Christmas tree toys were used to decorate it.
In addition, a new year's fair was organized on Abay Square, which will work until January 5. Here you can find souvenirs, crafts from craftsmen and festive decorations.
Recall that today Almaty will host 3 large-scale concerts with the participation of pop stars: from 19:00 to 21:00 on Abay Square, a concert will be held with the participation of Berkut, Akbota-Nur, Gazizkhan Shekerbek, Diana Ismail, Kenzhebek Zhanabilov and other artists.
A youth concert will also be held in front of the Nurly Tau business center from 18:00 to 21:00. DJ Slim, Altair&ABBi, 2RAR, Dakelot and Shokan Maratovich, soloist and producer of the boy band "all Davay", will perform there.
The new year's concert on Astana Square will start at 21:00 and will last until January 1, 2025. At 00:00, a festive fireworks display will be organized.
In honor of the celebration of the new year 2025, Yerseit Aliyev, Elbol Kuanbek, Ulzhan Aglakova, Chingiz Typhoon, Makvin, Orynkhan, 6ellucci, Markhaba Sabi, Moldanazar and RaiM will perform in front of the building of kBtu.
