The national assessment system of Kazakhstan can be the basis or part of joint assessment projects in the Central Asian region.
The purpose of the BMSE is to assess the quality of education of students in accordance with the requirements of the state universal compulsory education standard. It conducts assessments in three areas of literacy: reading, mathematical and scientific literacy. The BMSE allows you to assess the effectiveness of educational programs, identify the strengths and weaknesses of the educational process, as well as identify areas for further improvement of the quality of education.
«During the two-year collaboration with the Research Centre for Examination and Certification (RCEC, Netherlands), seven stages of accreditation of the BMV were implemented These stages include developing an assessment framework, creating test questions, developing testing, selecting test items, managing testing on a digital platform, analyzing results, and creating an assessment system. "Its successful accreditation confirms that it meets international standards of quality and reliability, and its results are objective, fair and substantiated," noted Yernur Dauenov, Chairman of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Education.
All stages and procedures of the BMZM are documented in international studies such as PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS fully consistent with the scientifically based methods used.
