To prepare rural school students for intellectual Olympiads and competitions, the correspondence school "Daryn" has been launched. Currently, 940 finalists of the II Republican Rural Olympiad are studying and improving their knowledge there.
The Daryn correspondence School is taught by experienced teachers who are multiple winners of national and international Olympiads. In addition to in-depth study of subjects, they teach strategies and methods for preparing for subject Olympiads, as well as explain how to effectively use useful resources.
Classes for students of the natural sciences and mathematics direction started on December 6, 2024, and for participants of the social sciences and humanities direction - on December 18.
"We are confident that in the future, rural school students will adequately represent our country at national and international competitions and achieve significant success," said Zhomart Karambayev, Deputy Chairman of the Secondary Education Committee of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It should be recalled that the Republican Rural Olympiad in general education subjects for students of grades 9-11 was held in Astana in November–December. The Olympiad consisted of four stages in 13 subjects. The goal is to identify and support gifted and talented schoolchildren from rural areas.
In 2024, more than 113,000 students were registered at the intra-school stage, which is 35,000 more than in 2023. 940 students reached the final of the republican competitions. All finalists are enrolled in the republican correspondence school "Daryn" for further preparation for future intellectual competitions.
